Product Description
The Result Safeguard R477X Heavy Duty Polycotton Security Vest is a functional work vest in 190gsm 80% polyester, 20% cotton, with a full-length zip, tear-release patch pockets, an ID-pass pocket, a D-ring and an extra-length pocket for testing or control equipment. The fluorescent yellow and orange versions are Class 2 hi-vis, and the orange also carries RIS-3279-TOM Class 2. Black and navy are certified for enhanced night-time visibility only.
Made from a durable polycotton (80% polyester, 20% cotton, 190gsm), it has strategic body bands for easy decoration, an extra-length pocket suitable for testing equipment, two tear-release patch pockets, a dual pocket and ID-pass pocket, self-coloured bound edges, a hang loop and a D-ring. It has a generous fit and 50mm sewn-on reflective safety bands. It is UKCA marked. Sizes S to 3XL.

Result's care instructions are a 60°C gentle wash, maximum 25 washes. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean, and line dry only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the black and navy vests Class 2 hi-vis?
No. They are certified to EN 17353 Type B3 for enhanced night-time visibility and are not EN ISO 20471 hi-vis garments.
Is the orange vest suitable for railway work?
The fluorescent orange version carries RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2:2019. Requirements vary by task and site, so check the specific PPE requirements before selecting it.
What is the extra-length pocket for?
Result describes it as suitable for housing control or checking apparatus.
How many times can it be washed?
Result's care instructions give a maximum of 25 washes at 60°C on a gentle cycle. Do not iron or tumble dry it, and line dry only.
