🧥 Logo Placement Guide for Branded Workwear
At ColorCoded Workwear, we want your branded garments to look their absolute best.
To help you select the right logo positions, we’ve created this visual guide showing all standard branding locations, exactly as worn by the wearer.
🛈 “As worn” means left and right are described from the wearer’s perspective — so the left chest (wearer’s left) appears on the right-hand side when viewing the front of the garment.
👕 Front of Polo - Correct “As Worn” Locations
1. Left Chest (as worn)
-
Label: Left chest (wearer’s left)
-
Description: Small, standard logo positioned over the left breast (the heart side).
-
Typical size: Up to approximately 10 cm wide for embroidery.
-
Guideline: Centre point roughly 7- 9 cm down from the shoulder seam’s high point and 7- 9 cm from the centre front placket (adjust slightly for garment size).
💡 This is the most popular and professional logo location for business uniforms.
2. Right Chest (as worn)
-
Label: Right chest (wearer’s right)
-
Description: Mirrored position of the left chest; often used for names, job titles, or partner logos.
-
Sizing: Same as left chest, with matching vertical alignment for a balanced appearance.
3. Left Sleeve (as worn)
-
Label: Left sleeve (wearer’s left)
-
Description: Positioned on the outer sleeve panel, ideal for flags, certifications, or secondary logos.
-
Typical size: 6 - 8 cm wide.
-
Guideline: Centre vertically between the shoulder seam and sleeve hem, or approximately 4 - 6 cm above the hem.
4. Right Sleeve (as worn)
-
Label: Right sleeve (wearer’s right)
-
Description: Same placement guidance as the left sleeve; often used for sponsor marks, event branding, or supporting text.
5. Front Centre - Large (as worn)
-
Label: Centre - large (front)
-
Description: A bold, statement logo placed centrally across the chest.
-
Typical size: 20 - 30 cm wide (depending on garment size and design).
-
Guideline: Logo sits across the mid-chest area for clear, high-impact branding.
6. Front Centre — Small (as worn)
-
Label: Centre - small (front)
-
Description: A smaller, centred chest logo, ideal for casualwear or minimalist branding.
-
Guideline: Top edge of logo is typically 8 - 12 cm below the collar, depending on garment size.
⚠️ For polos with buttons or zips, avoid placing centre logos too close to the placket — keep the design centred between seams or offset to ensure clear visibility.
